TRUTH IS...

Truth is, love don't love nobody!  It doesn't have a respective person. It doesn't care if the feelings are reciprocated.  It could care less that you weren't emotionally ready for it to come into your life. It is not concerned with details.  It only exposes what's in your heart.  Love will make you do crazy things.  Things you can't explain.  Things that make you ashamed.  And at the time, you could care less about how you looked or what others thought while you were doing.  Why? Because you were in love.  You did it for love.  Love excuses what it can't explain.  It accepts what others reject. It defends while others attack. It is love. Simply that. It is blind to reality and deaf to the nay sayers. It could care less about the audience; not concerned with the team players. That's love. All it wants to do is love and hopes that YOU love it BACK.

People

Maya Angelou said, "People will show you who they are. BELIEVE them!" That is absolutely true. Many times we see how people are; And if we don't recognize it, we feel it.  Our intuition tells us otherwise.  But we make a conscious decision to ignore that which is obvious. Why? Because they possess something that we like.  Whether we are attracted to them physically, mentally or their charismatic personality.  Whatever it is, we like it enough to determine that they are worth the risk.  They are worth ignoring the warnings...the signs.

So when the ish hits the fan and the room starts to stink, don't play the blame game .  You are not allowed to point fingers because YOU chose to move forward.  YOU made the decision to take the risk.  After all, life is about risks right? So LIVE.....LOVE.....and learn from the mistakes you make.  But remember one thing, ACCOUNTABILITY equals GROWTH.  So make better decisions.  Do your research and become informed....well educated on a person before you step in friendship....relationship...commitment's direction. Some people are better kept at a distance. Do your research so you will know. Be wise. :)

So you want a GOOD man/woman...

I often hear people complain about their exes.  Woman gripe and say that ALL men are dogs.  And men complain about how most women are gold-diggers or either too independent.  Both sexes have their complaints about the opposite sex. They've based their opinions on past relationships and experiences.  Going from one relationship to the next, harboring the past hurts and mental baggage from the last relationship.  Since they've entered into a new relationship with an unclean slate, they are allowing unresolved issues from past relationships into the new one.  And they wonder why their relationships fail. Smh.

No, I'm not a perfect woman.  I have many flaws and my shortcomings are too voluminous to list.  But I contain one strength and that's accountability.  I am aware of my defects. And I am willing and working on improving on those areas.  Many people don't hold themselves accountable for their actions.  They refuse to own up to their roles in failed relationships and mistakes they've made.  They choose to blame others for those situations because that's the easy route.  Those people are in denial.  And if you can't acknowledge that you have a problem, then you can't fix it.  You can't complain about not having a GOOD man/woman when you HAVEN'T been a GOOD man/woman in a relationship.  YOU GET WHAT YOU GIVE, so stop complaining. Now CHECK YOURSELF and the way YOU LIVE.

In life, in order to be successful at anything, you have to focus on self.  You must be open to constructive criticism and willing to work on your problem areas.  With that being said, that statement also pertains to relationships.  If you want to have a successful relationship, you must be aware that NO ONE'S perfect and neither are you.  So if you want your relationship to last, you have to go into it with the mindset of "I am going to be the best boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife, I can be."  You can't focus on the other person's actions because you only have control over you.  You just have to put YOUR BEST foot forward and go into the relationship with the intention of being a GOOD mate.  If you feel that you can't totally be the best mate for fear of being hurt or that person will take advantage, then you need to take a step back and date a little longer or not date at all.  That's another common problem.  People tend to jump into relationships too quickly.  There's no need to rush.  You should first take the time to get to know the person and to see if you two are compatible (blog coming soon).  In the dating process, you will build trust and bond amongst other things.

So the next time you or anyone else complain about not being able to find a GOOD man/woman, take a walk to a mirror and look in it.  Is the person you are looking at a GOOD man/woman?  Is that person willing to put their heart on the line for someone they're with?  Does that person understand that in a relationship they represent their mate and that their mate represents them, so you must act in EACH OTHER'S BEST interest?  Is that person ready and willing to be an UNSELFISH lover?  Does that person hold themselves ACCOUNTABLE for their own actions?  If all of your answers are YES, then continue to complain. Lol...I'm kidding. That's GREAT if your answers are yes!  Just be patient, continue to work on you and God will send you exactly who you need.  If some of your answers were NO, then you still have some work to do so you're not entitled to complain. Lol

MORAL: Work on being the BEST YOU, YOU can be because YOU GET WHAT YOU GIVE.  Also, you attract what you are.  If you plant seeds of love, then LOVE you will reap!  Let's love ♥
